Joining IDC in January 2003, Tomasz Sloniewski researches and analyzes the software markets in Poland and the Baltic states and oversees software research for Central and Eastern Europe. As a program manager, he helps set the research agenda and engages in strategic consulting for IT organizations looking to expand their business in Central and Eastern Europe.
Mr. Sloniewski has had articles published in the IT press in Poland covering topics such as business intelligence, IT security, and ERP. He is regularly quoted in the Polish press, and frequently delivers presentations covering IT market issues at various events and conferences.
Prior to joining IDC, Mr. Sloniewski was a documentation specialist/technical writer for a software company delivering medical applications to the U.S. market. He was seconded three times to work for the company's main contractor in the United States, where he stayed for a total of 12 months.
Mr. Sloniewski holds a master's degree in international relations from Warsaw University in Poland.
